Fahm is designed as a privacy-first Arabic learning app. The web version does not require an account, shows no ads, sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and never sells your data.
Learning progress, SRS cards, bookmarks, onboarding choices, and settings are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. This data stays on your device unless you export it from Settings.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, country, browser type). It is cookieless: it does not use cookies or localStorage, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across sites. We only ever see anonymous, aggregate numbers — never your learning activity.
Premium purchases are processed by RevenueCat (subscription management) and Stripe (payment processing). When you purchase, your email address and payment details are handled by these providers under their privacy policies; we never see or store your card details. An anonymous purchase identifier is kept in your browser so the app can recognise your Premium access on this device.
Exported backups are JSON files created locally. Imported backups are validated before they are saved. Keep exported files private because they contain your learning history.
The app loads its own static assets and content files, and contacts RevenueCat/Stripe only for Premium pricing and purchases. It does not send your answers, progress, or bookmarks to a server.
