And this is My path, straight, so follow it; and do not follow other ways (6:153)
Grammar
Can be masculine or feminine. Plural: سُبُلٌ (subul). Often in the phrase: فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ (in the way/cause of Allah).
Culture
The phrase 'fī sabīli Allāh' (in the way of Allah) is used for any effort made for God's sake, from charity to personal sacrifice.
