fa-ammā al-yatīma falā taqhar
So as for the orphan, do not oppress him (93:9)
Grammar

Masculine noun. Plural: أَيْتَامٌ (aytām) or يَتَامَى (yatāmā). In Islamic law, an orphan is a child who has lost their father before puberty.

Culture

The Prophet ﷺ was himself an orphan. The Quran devotes special attention to orphan rights — their wealth must be protected and they must be treated with kindness.
