This & That - Demonstratives & First Nouns

Demonstrative pronouns 'hadha' (this, masculine) and 'hadhihi' (this, feminine) are used with nouns. Arabic nouns have grammatical gender, so you must match the demonstrative to the noun's gender. Practice: 'hadha kitab' (this is a book), 'hadhihi madrasa' (this is a school).
