In the Quran
هُمْ دَرَجَـٰتٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَThere are degrees (of grace and reprobation) with Allah, and Allah is Seer of what they do.
دَرَجَـٰتٍ مِّنْهُ وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًاDegrees of rank from Him, and forgiveness and mercy. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَAnd those who deny Our revelations - step by step We lead them on from whence they know not.
